FoodChange works to prevent hunger through ensuring equal access to quality, nutritious food. By working with federal, state and local government agencies and other advocacy organizations, FoodChange champions the existence of food and nutrition services on behalf of low-income New Yorkers.

FoodChange strives to reduce systemic barriers to participation and ultimately increase enrollment in federal food programs such as the Food Stamp and School Meal Programs.

FoodChange Advocates for Better Nutrition

FoodChange advocates to amend Article 81 of the New York City Health Code to make information on calorie content of menu items clear to consumers at the time of ordering at Food Service Establishments where such information is publicly available and to allow for artificial Trans Fat to be phased out of city licensed Food Service Establishments.
